The Pit of Sufjan

I told a friend yesterday that I'm wallowing in a pit of Sufjan Stevens music. It's a great pit, but it is tough to exit. Here's the playlist I'm using to try to climb out (below). Most of it comes from the sister, which makes me think new thoughts about her...

Motion City Soundtrack: The Future Freaks Me Out

The Early November: Ever So Sweet, The Mountain Range In My Living Room, Baby Blue, The Course of Human Life, Dinner at the Money Table

Eve 6: At Least We're Dreaming, Friend Of Mine, Hey Montana, Girlfriend, Arch Drive Goodbye

Fairweather Friend: Best Love Going, Love's Year, Right Side is Left Inside, Slow it Down

Straylight Run: Existenstialism on Prom Night

...yeah, acoustic folk has failed to lift me from the miry clay. Go figure.

bobbobbob, I think you are confusing climbing out of a pit with falling into a new and far deeper one.

linnea! it turns out you were right. (is anyone surprised?) thank goodness i was in the mountains with friends this weekend and forgot my ipod shuffle. we listened to handel and dvorak in the car, which turned out to be for the best. where in the world are you, and what are you up to?

hope: i'm still overcoming my fear of pits. i think it has something to do with being tall.

I'm in Nebraska now, bob, but soon I will be going up to North Dakota for SIL.

WOWZERS! Those Floridians sure are quick on the draw! Enjoy the tunes and the dictionnaire, Sam.

And Linnea, the fact that SIL is in North Dakota is the only thing that makes it ok... otherwise, I would be jealous.
