another movie post

Movies I wish I were educated/mature/cool enough to "get:"
Russian Dolls
Three Times
L'Enfant

So where I am right now, culturally:
Little Miss Sunshine
The Puffy Chair

Stupid, yet satisfying:
Accepted

So there you go.

To make you feel better, I've never heard of any of these movies. Guess that makes me a real stupid dork.

;)

I want to see Little Miss Sunshine at some point in my life...

BOB! I HAVE READ THIS OVER A FEW TIMES AND HAVE FAILED TO COMMENT! I am really excited about Little Miss Sunshine, more than I thought I would be.
I hadn't heard of any of those movies either, but looking them up a few look like the moo would enjoy. Keep us posted when (if ever) you see them.

Just for the record, it doesn't make you a dork. It might make you feel dumb when you hear others discussing things you haven't heard about, but that's one of the great things about public discussions in the first place: they help people share information! Hurrah for information.

They also prompt shared experiences. Even though the net is so impersonal, this post might result in my sister and I seeing a movie that results in another post, which might result in comparing notes with a bunch of people that also saw it, which might result in future shared movie-outings, which might bring about some important relationship times, which might open the door to tell someone about Jesus.

There you go. I totally used a string of hypothetical situations to play a Jesus-card -- evangelism as the ultimate trump. Ha!

not the Jesus-card!! oh bob oh bob. you could have stopped so much sooner. because you played the SISTER card, which is of such high suit in and of itself. (hmm. i'll just sit over here perishing with my lack of vision.)

Yeah, well, for lack of vision the people PERISH! Let that be a lesson to you. :)

Nah, I don't really feel that way. Because the evangelism-card is almost always on the table, anyway. Heck, hanging out with my sister has a lot to do with the gospel, anyway.

And while I'm commenting on my own blog, I may as well confess that I just saw Nacho Libre and loved it. I feel like I must have blogged about it, but I see no post. So there you go (again).
