the back burner

Being in Belgium, you MUST have heard this song by now: Jacque Brel, Au Printemps.
This post set it ringing in my head. It's still quite cold in Pittsburgh. But I've already had enough of warm weather.

sadly, rich, the only music they like to play around here seems to be one of the following:
(a) loud hip-hop (imported largely from the US, also from the UK)
(b) loud, sometimes dated pop music (imported from US)
(c) sappy French pop
(d) Belgian punk and underground (the only local option?!)

Maybe I'll just pop by the Jaque Brel institute downtown and file a complaint. Surely they'd at least play me the song...
