talking to the far-away

what do you do, when you call and the only things you both have to talk about are things that are just too hard to bring up then and there? when you both only want to bring up things that you can only really talk about in person, and who knows when or how that's ever going to happen? and come to think of it, how long has it been since that face-to-face thing happened? too long.

and the best you can manage is to try not to blame yourself for those things, keep it short, say i love you.

bah. humbug.

Do you know the feeling you get when you are on the front lines and the enemy attacks and you are separated from your comrads while fighting for truth and justice. The feeling you get when you can see your comrads fighting and want to warn them from the imminent danger they are unaware of but if you do it could reveal where both of you are, and your comrads and you would both be destroyed. Wishing you could stay and fight and warn them but believing it is better to be forced from your position for now. The feeling you get when you been praying and hoping for news from your comrad yet all you get are glimpses of what is going on through shattered lines of communication. That feeling that maybe you are on the back burner. That feeling that your comrad thinks that you deserted but he cannot know the truth until the time is right for you to tell him.
